Juan Paramo is a Process Design Engineering Specialist. He fulfills engineering responsibilities in customer interviewing and requirement gathering, solution domain research, conceptual / detailed design and customer presentation / discussion, specification of hardware / software components, supplier search and negotiation.
Areas of Expertise:
Juan’s expertise expands Electromechanical Design, Prototype Manufacturing, assembly and testing, and software development, as well as Lean Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Development of MAGS Surgical Instruments (Ethicon Endo-Surgery, A Division of Johnson & Johnson, Cincinnati): Juan was responsible for miniaturized design, assembly, and testing of mechanical components. He printed circuit board intermediate level development and integration.
Development of a Scanning Motion Frame for Patient Imaging (UT Southwestern, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Dallas): Juan was responsible for the design, assembly, and testing of a motorized bed frame. He also worked on the XY motion system specification and integration.
Engineering Development of Robotic Displays (Neiman Marcus Group, Dallas): Juan was responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a FANUC robotic cell.
Development of Automated Paper Void Fill Equipment (FROMM Packaging, Chicago): Juan was responsible for design, assembly and testing of an automated paper void filling machine. He focused on motor and mechanical gearing system specification and integration and SmartMotor I/O programming.
Education and Training:
Juan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Mathematics from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He received his Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering both from the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. He also has his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and SME Lean Bronze Certification.
